The world is at war with an invisible enemy on a scale we have not experienced in our lifetime. On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization officially characterized COVID-19 as a pandemic, prompting a global health emergency. The effects of this pandemic are personally and rapidly affecting our families, our communities and our businesses in many ways we may not have anticipated. The goal of this email is to help navigate through the uncharted waters of COVID-19 and how insurance may be able to offer some relief.
The situation is evolving by the hour with COVID-19 cases increasing at an exponential rate in every state and across over 140 countries. We are implementing unprecedented measures in an attempt to slow the spread of the virus, including cancelling all mass gatherings, closing schools, bars, gyms and public facilities, as well as suspending non-essential travel. We are locking down our borders and enforcing shelter-in-place measures. All of these measures come at a cost, often with unforeseen ramifications that may ultimately directly affect your business.
We have established a COVID-19 Resource Center with answers to the most frequently asked insurance related questions to help support your business and organizations with valuable information from a variety of reliable sources, updated frequently with the most current information. Our goal is to help mitigate the direct impact that may confront your business, your employees and the communities in which your business operates by presenting practical solutions that are timely and relevant to your needs. We will also be providing valuable information related to Workers’ Compensation, medical, travel, event cancellation and Business Interruption coverages, to name a few.

On a personal note, animal shelters are also facing the impacts of COVID-19 resulting in staffing shortages, a stark decrease in animal adoptions/fostering and in some cases an increase in animals being dropped off.
