In the past few weeks Covered California sent out a letter notifying members that they must give their consent to Covered CA to verify their income and family size to determine their subsidy eligibility for their health plan in 2016. If you have employees that are members of Covered CA it is a good idea to send them a reminder to provide consent no later than the deadline of 9/30/15 so that they may be eligible for the 2016 subsidy. If they do not reply by the deadline their subsidy will automatically end on 12/31/15.
There are two ways members can provide consent:
Calling Covered CA at 1-800-300-1506
Logging into their CoveredCA.com account and following the instructions in their letter.
